Tryouts

Tryouts will be held January 19th and January 26th.

We know that there are nerves about tryouts, and we would really encourage everyone to come into tryouts with a fresh mind and a confident attitude. We will most likely have to make cuts this season due to a lack of gym space. We will do our very best to make the best decisions and to include as many players as we possibly can, and those decisions matter greatly on the turnouts at tryouts. We do not take it lightly having to cut players and will do everything we can to limit cuts as much as possible. If you have questions about tryouts, please reach out to the coaching staff.

If you are unsure about your level of commitment, please communicate that with the coaching staff. We are always willing to work around other sports and other commitments. It is all a personal decision based on what you have going on. These need to be communicated BEFORE tryouts are over.

There is no charge for tryouts. However, every player and her parent or guardian will need to fill out some paperwork the first day of tryouts.

Club Fees

Non-Elite teams $500 (this includes the player pack gear)

Elite teams $950 (this includes the player pack, and the additional tournament entry fees)

There is always way to help financially. We will be sponsoring 3 players this year, as well as offering a limited number of payment plans. Please reach out to our Club Director if you need help with the costs of the season. We do not want expenses to keep you from playing and are willing to help. Club fees will be due January 29th after teams have been made.

We will have a mandatory program wide meeting January 29th at 6pm at Easthaven Baptist Church for all players and parents who made a team.

About Us

Flathead Volleyball Club was created back in 2008 with the hope of bringing a great experience of playing volleyball to the athletes of the Flathead Valley. Since then, we have had great success in competing in tournaments and training young players to be the best they can be. Our coaches are in this program because they have a love for the sport, and have knowledge and experience as players. We travel around Montana and beyond to share our love for the great game of volleyball.

If you are new to Club Volleyball

Typically we start kids at 5th grade, and go up to 12th grade. We are open to any and all schools within the Flathead Valley and surrounding areas.

We will start clinics in December. Tryouts will be at the beginning of February. Cuts will be made if we have don’t have enough coaches and gym space to accommodate the amount of athletes.

Teams will practice an average of twice a week. Practice locations are based on availablity and we can practice at any gym we can get access to around Kalispell. Tournaments are on the weekends during the Spring. FVC does not provide transportation, food, or lodging for events. We do ask that parents and families help provide food for the players and coaches for the tournament days. Tournaments can vary from 8 to 10 hours a day. Each team is different, but we usually travel to neighboring cities such as Missoula, Great Falls, Helena, and Butte. Regular tournament season runs from mid-March to the beginning of May. Elite teams will go into summer.

There will be a club fee due at the first official practice. FVC is committed to providing opportunities to as many athletes who love Volleyball as possible. Please reach out for financial assistance options. Club fees start at $400 per player for regular season, and $850 for Elite teams. We will be offering family discounts this year for families with multiple athletes in the program. There is an additional player pack that will be required to purchase that provides our team gear for the season. Our goal is to keep our club fee number where it is now, and we rely on fundraising efforts from the entire program to do so.
