Meet the Coaches

Hello!

My name is Kylie Schlegel, and I am FVC’s Club Director. I was born and raised in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School. I started playing volleyball in third grade and joined this club as a player back in 2009. I played all through high school and absolutely love the game. I started coaching for FVC back in 2011, making this my 13th season coaching for this club. I took over FVC as its Director in 2021. I have loved traveling with my teams in the past and want to give opportunities to players to expand outside of Montana. Volleyball is so fun to be a part of and I’m hoping to share that with as many players as possible. Coaching is my number one passion, but I’m a huge animal lover and proud dog mom, as well as a portrait photographer. I hope to see you all in the gym! Go FVC!

Steph Mee

I am looking forward to my 17th season with Flathead Volleyball club. I have loved watching this club grow and seeing the impact we have had on volleyball in the Flathead Valley.

I am a property manager and Realtor, with a big blended family. I love following our kids all over the state to watch them compete. It’s so much fun to see them as players and mentors with FVC.

Along with coaching club volleyball every year(sometimes 2 teams), I have also coached at multiple schools. I spent 7 years with Flathead High School, 5 years at Kalispell Middle School, and 3 years at Helena Flats. I have been coaching basketball as well. As an athlete, I competed in 3 sports on high school, and earned a scholarship to play volleyball at UM-Western.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Dopps. Volleyball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, as a player. Today, I coach for the love of the game and to watch the players grow into their potential. I am excited for competition that Flathead Volleyball Club brings to the court every tournament

Hello! My name is Abbi Chavez. I have been involved in volleyball since I was in third grade.  I played for Flathead Volleyball Club starting in fourth grade and then went on to play for a National team with the “Montana Outlaws” for my 16s and 18s year. I have coached on and off with Flathead Volleyball Club since my junior year of high school and have loved coaching ever since. Beyond the court, I'm an outdoor enthusiast, relishing activities like hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and rafting. My 5-year-old German Shepherd is my constant companion. Coaching volleyball is my passion, and I thrive on developing resilient athletes. Eagerly anticipating this year's club season, I feel blessed to share the journey with your amazing daughters. GO FVC!

Hi!

My name is Jordyn Lowry. Volleyball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing in the backyard with my older cousins before I was old enough to actually join a team. I started as young as I could and played all the way into high school. I competed for 3 years at Glacier High and traveled to State with our 2016 Varsity team. I took up coaching club 7 years ago as a fun way to continue to be involved with the sport and I want to be able to teach young girls to love it just as much as I do! Off the court I love spending time in the outdoors with my friends, family, and FIANCE. I have a 4 year old dog so any hiking, hunting, or fishing I can do, he loves to join! I’m so excited for this season and all that’s to come!

Hello!

My name is Gabbie Sutton.
My love for the game started at a very young age and later on I was fortunate enough to play for Flathead Volleyball Club. This will be my 4th year coaching for FVC and I’m pumped to get back in the gym as a coach and my hope is to be a mentor for your daughters!
Aside from the volleyball court, I enjoy any opportunity to be around the people I love.  I’m a dog mom to a 2 year old Siberian Husky who has the biggest attitude!  I graduated last April with a ministry leadership degree from Northwest University and currently work at a local dental office. During this season, I hope to make as much of an impact as my coaches did when I played for this club.  I’m looking forward to some healthy competition and to pass on my love for volleyball!

Go FVC!

Hi, my name is Alyssa AuClaire and I am a senior at Glacier High School. This year I am co-coaching U13 with Maddi Chavez and I couldn’t be more excited! This program has been a big part of my life for 6 years and I’m grateful that I get to now call…

Hello !
My name is Alyssa AuClaire ! I am a former player of FVC, this program has been a part of my life for six years now. Starting in the seventh grade and continuing on through my high school career. This will be my third year coaching and I couldn’t be more excited to pass on everything I’ve learned to all of the young players. I cant wait to see what this season has to offer !

Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a mom of three, which explains why the only photo I can find that’s only of me is from my son’s ice fishing field trip. (My first, and hopefully last, ice fishing trip.)

The sport that I do love is volleyball. I grew up playing in eastern Washington and was a four-year starter at middle hitter and back row for DIII Colorado College. We qualified for the NCAA tournament 3 of my 4 seasons there. Since then, I’ve played a ton of adult volleyball of all kinds—women’s 6s, coed 4s, doubles, grass, all of it. Thanks to living in Texas for a period of time, I especially love sand volleyball.

With FVC, I’m excited to be running open gyms later in the season for players who want to work on specific skills and get more touches.

Hi! My name is Shannon Boese. I have been playing volleyball for 18 years and have coached several teams and camps in New York, where I am originally from. I moved to the valley about 5 years ago and have been looking to get involved in volleyball around here. Coach Lizzie invited me to a few practices last year and I was so excited to be playing again, I couldn’t wait to be more involved! I was first introduced to volleyball in middle school and once I started, I couldn’t stop! I played all through high school and college - school, club, beach, CYO - any kind of volleyball I could play, I did. Club was one of my favorite experiences with the sport and I’m happy to be a part of one again! I have two daughters, ages 4 and 1, who you might see in tow at practice or tournaments who love volleyball already. I’m excited to get them more exposure to the sport also. Can’t wait to start winning with FVC!

Hello!

My name is Katie Oyler, and this is my first year helping coach club volleyball.  I was born and raised in Kalispell and graduated from Stillwater Christian School. I had the privilege of playing volleyball for 9 years, including one year in college. I’ve enjoyed coaching my daughter’s rotary volleyball team in the past. It brings me so much joy to watch young players build up their skills and grow in the love for the game.

I can’t wait to get this season started! 🏐

My name is Bailey Nunn, I have been playing volleyball for as long as I can remember. I played club from 12s all the way to 18s. This will be my 4th year coaching club and I couldn’t be more excited to coach a group of girls the game I love.

My name is Jaylyn Fitch and I’m in undergraduate nursing at MSU. I played volleyball all throughout high school and intramurals in college. I enjoy staying active and helping people reach their full potential.

Volleyball was a huge thing that gave me purpose. With being varsity captain, I felt that it was my job to lead the team and be a role model. It became a passion of mine quickly and I’m excited to see the other side of it by being a coach rather than a player!

Hi, my name is Libby Peltz. I am a senior at Flathead High School. I have seven years of volleyball experience, including four years at Flathead High School and FVC. My volleyball career may be interrupted from recent ACL surgery, but I’m excited to start my first year coaching volleyball! I can’t wait to share my love of volleyball with younger players and see what this season will bring!

Hello! my name is Arena Nunn. I grew up in the Flathead valley and have played/coached volleyball my whole life. What I enjoy most about volleyball is the outcome it has not only on the players, but in coaching as well. I strive to see a difference in every player by the end of each season. I am looking forward to many seasons to come!!

Hi, my name is Alana Wilcox! I am currently a Sophomore at Flathead High school. This will be my 6th club season and this year I decided I wanted to help younger players find their love for this sport!

This season my goal is to learn what makes a good coach so I can help improve my skills as well as the skills of the girls I am helping coach! I can't wait for some great competition! Go FVC!!
